Original Paintings
I give great care to creating my work and devote 100 hours or more to each painting. An original is truly a one-of-a-kind piece and is created with so much love for nature. Initially when I choose a subject, there is an important conservation issue to which I want to bring attention. Then the research begins before I even begin sketching.
Field studies and the library are two of my favorite resources for research. I especially enjoy being out in the field so I can experience a place firsthand while in the presence of the amazing plants and animals I paint. There's a special spirit inherent in each landscape, species and individual life. I've found that people sense this energy in my work and feel a deep connection to the subjects. Most of my originals are now in public or private collections, but there are a few paintings still available and more on the way as I continue to create!

Upon the sale of an original painting, $100 will be donated to Morris Animal Foundation's wildlife program or to The Nature Conservancy's land protection efforts (included in purchase price).
